Memory Care

Residents that live with us in our Memory Care have intellectual impairment to include Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Mild Cognitive Impairment, or other brain related losses. Our memory care staff are specialty trained with the knowledge, education, and on-going training to ensure we understand the needs of our memory care residents. We are 100% committed to quality care, kindness as well as individuality. Our Memory Care community is a secured community to ensure safety to our residents, a code to enter and exit confirms their safety.

  • How do I know if my family member needs Memory Care?
If your family member is forgetful, has left home and struggled to return or was lost for several hours then memory care might be a good option for them. If they have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or Dementia and you are seeing them decline mentally and fear for their safety, then Memory Care might be a good option for them.
  • Can I visit my family member if they living in a Memory Care?
Yes, we love visitors!! We just ask that you sign in and out of the community when you come in and follow any additional rules posted. You can take your family member out as much or little as you like.
  • What does “secured residence” mean?
This means that for our residents’ safety the doors allowing them to exit the community are always locked. We do have a beautiful courtyard that is covered and has lovely landscaping, and this door is open allowing them to leave the community, but it is gated with no access to leave.
  • Can my family member have their own apartment in Memory Care?
Yes, we have many different private suite options that offer a large spacious private room as well as a private bathroom and shower.
  • What is a Friendship Suite?
Friendship suites are apartments that are shared by two people of the same sex. This is a great option for someone that enjoys company or is used to living with a companion. The suites are large, and each person has their own area, but they share a private bathroom and shower.
  • What kind of Activities do they have in Memory Care?
All our activities that are provided in our memory care neighborhoods are focused on residents with cognitive impairment. We are firm believers that if you do not use it you lose it, which means we want to keep our residents minds, bodies, and spirit’s as active as possible. Daily exercise is important to movement, walks outside to get fresh air is important as is anything we can do to keep moving. Games, puzzles, reading groups are all important to keep the mind stimulated and residents engaged in thinking and trying to recall life situations and times. All activities are customized to allow participation no matter the level of ability or cognition.
