Meadow View Senior Living Celebrates Memory Care Director’s Achievement as
Certified Dementia Practitioner

Emmett, Idaho Meadow View Senior Living is proud to announce that Ashley, our
dedicated Memory Care Director, has officially earned her Certified Dementia
Practitioner (CDP) credential. This nationally recognized certification, awarded by the
National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP), highlights Ashley’s
advanced knowledge, compassionate care approach, and unwavering commitment to
serving those living with dementia and their families.

Ashley’s journey at Meadow View began in 2021 when she joined the team as a
caregiver. Through her hard work and natural leadership, she quickly advanced to a
Med Tech and caregiver role and now serves as our Memory Care Director. Reflecting
on her path, Ashley shared,

"I wasn’t looking for this job, but Meadow View and this role became something really
special to me. It just felt right — like this is what I’m supposed to be doing"

The Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) credential represents the gold standard in
dementia education and training. Earning this certification requires extensive
coursework in the latest best practices in dementia care, communication strategies,
behavioral interventions, and compassionate end-of-life support. Having a CDP on staff
ensures that Meadow View’s memory care program meets the highest professional
standards — and that both residents and families receive knowledgeable, heartfelt
support during one of life’s most challenging journeys.

For Ashley, the CDP was a natural next step in her commitment to exceptional care.

"I really love to learn" she said. "Getting more education and staying up to date with the
latest ideas in the medical field is really important to me. It doesn’t change who I am or
how I care for residents — it just gives me the tools to make sure we are providing the
very best care, and giving them a better quality of life.”

Ashley is also deeply connected to the families of the residents she serves, recognizing
the emotional toll that dementia and the need for memory care takes on loved ones.

"It’s not just about the residents — it’s about the families, too," she shared. "I get really
attached to them. It’s so difficult to put a loved one in a memory care community.
Families are often thrown into this without much information or support, and I want to be
there to help them through it with the most information I can give them."

The bonds formed at Meadow View often extend long after a resident’s passing.

"I still see families of those whose loved ones have passed away coming back to visit
us," Ashley said. "We become a part of their family, and they become a part of ours."

At Meadow View Senior Living, we are committed to setting the standard for excellence
in memory care, offering a warm, nurturing and caring environment that residents can
call home. Meadow View Senior Living, where friends become family.
